The ICBS-R Project was chartered by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) in March 2003. The USDA Forest Service and the DOI Bureau of Land Management are conducting this project in partnership with the National Interagency Support Caches (NISC). The NISC is a committee of the NWCG s Equipment Technology Committee (ETC) and the National Fire Equipment System (NFES) Subcommittee.
ROSS and IROC Communications
The Dispatch Messaging System or DMS has been decommissioned and the ROSS/IROC Integrated Project Team is now using Firenet for communications. Below is a listing and short description of what each email group is used for along with links to each email address and information on how to subscribe to receive user notices.
Please note: Both Citrix and non-FS Citrix will be permanently unavailable for use beginning sometime this week. They both sit on Win 2008 servers and the USDA has mandated the shutdown of all 2008 servers. We have not been notified of the exact date these servers will be decommissioned, but believe it will be this week. Once those servers are shut down, users using Citrix to log into ROSS will need to log in directly to the ROSS client.
Accessing ROSS Production and Practice requires a NAP (NESS (National Enterprise Support Service) Application Portal) account.
The NAP is used to manage user application account information. Once a user account exists in NAP, local account managers can add it to one or more Dispatch Centers in ROSS.
To access Archive Data select this link: ROSS Archive Data Delivery.
Note: A valid DMS username and password are required to access ROSS Archive Data Delivery.
Analytical Reports allow users to create custom reports and save them to their report folder.
They are accessed via the Cognos - Query Studio reporting tool. Access to Query Studio is limited and users wishing access must complete and submit the Query Studio Access Request form (submittal email address is on the form).
