Administrative Applications

AMIS

The Aviation Management Information System (AMIS) is used to collect, store and analyze information about the usage of aircraft within Forest Service controls. AMIS is a mandatory application for electronically entering and storing information from the FS-6500-122, Flight Use Report. Aircraft use information is required to be reported by each Region as stated in FSM 5700, Chapter 5710, Section 5717.2. Aircraft use statistics are entered into the application hosted on FAMWEB. The data is then reported into GSA's Federal Aviation Interactive Reporting System (FAIRS), as mandated by the Office of Management and Budget.

e-ISuite

e-ISuite is the next generation version of I-Suite and when fully implemented will replace the current I-Suite Application. The e-ISuite system is a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) enabled I-Suite application for use at the Incident Command Post (ICP) and in agency offices to manage emergency incidents and planned events. The use of e-ISuite at the ICP will be very similar to the current I-Suite application. e-ISuite used in agency offices will bring most of the current I-Suite capabilities to a person connected to the agency network via a web browser. At that level, it can be used for activities such as initial attack (IA), Type 3, 4 and 5 incidents, ABCD Miscellaneous fires and generating invoices for casual hires supporting activities like training, dispatch, and cache work. e-ISuite software will not need to be installed on the user s computer. No software licenses are required to use e-ISuite. A web browser is all each user will need to run the application.

FEPP FEPMIS

FEPMIS is an automated property management system that is used to provide full accountability and management for property acquired through the Federal Excess Personal Property (FEPP) program. FEPMIS was designed to meet all audit requirements imposed upon the States by law and regulation, as well as to provide a tool for the States to improve and assist in the effective management of FEPP. Under the FEPP program, the USDA FS Fire and Aviation Management (F&AM) staff is granted the authority to acquire excess property from other Federal agencies and loan it to the various State Foresters for use in their rural and wildland fire programs. FEPMIS interfaces with the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Disposal System (FEDS) so that any property allocated to the FS State partners generates an entry in FEPMIS, thereby preventing any 'lost' property. FEPMIS is used to create, approve, and process the Standard Form 122 (SF-122), "Transfer Order Excess Personal Property." An SF-122 allows property managers to keep track of property owned by a federal agency on loan to a state agency. ICBS

The national cache system is comprised of eleven national caches hosted by the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, and a larger number of smaller local caches hosted by various federal and state wildland agencies. Two national caches have associated sub caches or satellite caches that handle a unique type of inventory or cover sub-geographic areas (see Section 1.4.1 Implementation Scope). The eleven national caches represent the primary ICBS user community. The local caches represent a secondary user community that generally has not had the opportunity to use ICBS.

LESO FEPMIS

The Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO) has adopted the Federal Excess Property Management Information System (FEPMIS) as the automated property management system that will be used to provide accountability and management for property requisitioned through the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services 1033 Program.

SIT-209

SIT/209 is used to collect intelligence information related to the wildland fire management incidents and resources. SIT collects daily fire activity and initial/extended attack resource information during the active fire season for the local dispatch office. 209 is used to collect and store ICS-209 large Incident Summary information. This intelligence information is used to support the decision making process related to wildland fire resource placement and use.

WFDSS

The Wildland Fire Decision Support System (WFDSS) assists fire managers and analysts in making strategic and tactical decisions for fire incidents. It has replaced the WFSA (Wildland Fire Situation Analysis), Wildland Fire Implementation Plan (WFIP), and Long-Term Implementation Plan (LTIP) processes with a single process that is easier to use, more intuitive, linear, scalable, and progressively responsive to changing fire complexity.

WFDSS integrates the various applications used to manage incidents into a single system, which streamlines the analysis and reporting processes.
